Red Collar Female - Delta

Red Collar Female - Delta

Delta is the pup we are keeping and boy is turning out nicely.  She just loves my son and she is always a very happy puppy who meets you with such joy!

Blue Dot Collar Male

Blue Dot Collar Male

This boy is a big guy and what a love bug, but he definitely is one to throw his weight around!  We call him Bear and he has such a beautiful fluffy coat.

Striped Collar Female

Striped Collar Female

This female we started calling her “Spitfire”.  She is full of herself – very active and she just doesn’t take “NO” for answer.  She tackles the big dogs and just loves a challenge.  I think she’ll make a good working dog.  She may be small, but she is mighty!  She is just beautiful – nice athletic build.

Flower Collar Female

This gal gets prettier every day.  She is always the one who comes and wants to sit in your lap and be your buddy.  But she is always into the action too.  Very nice pup!

Black Collar Male

Black Collar Male

This boy is more dominant and such a ball of fun.  He is so playful and full of life – runs around playing and dodging things.  He is just wild and loving life!  This boy doesn’t like when the babygate is up – he expects to have full access to the house.  He is just so cute.

Blue Collar Male

This boy is definitely the heavy weight champion of the bunch.  He is confident and struts around like he owns the place.  He loves to play and get into the action.  He plays hard, but he is so loving and sweet!   You have to see him to appreciate him -  he has some bone to boot!

Rec Checkered Collar Female

This gal is the smallest, but don’t let her size fool you.  She is quite full of herself.  She is very sweet and very active – loves to play and be where the action is.  She is very agile and has a great build for agility work.

Blue Camo Collar Male

This boy is pretty big too and is coming out of his quiet stage.  I thought he was more laid back, but he is starting to really shine.  Not as quiet as I thought, but he is very sweet and always has sweet kisses for you.  He is having fun running around and is quite curious when it comes to new things to check out.

Brown Dot Collar Male

Brown Dot Collar Male

This boy is probably the most dominant of the bunch at times.  But he is sweet and loves to come over and lay by us.  Going to be a faithful boy.  He is medium size and a go getter!

Overall, this is a very outgoing litter and all our very social pups!  They love playing with the adult dogs and some of the bolder gals love to tug on my male dog’s tail.  He isn’t crazy about it, but does tolerate them.  At times they all seem to chase my boy  Aiko, but thank goodness he has a good sense of tolerance for pups, who can be quite pesty with those sharp little teeth.

Soon they’ll be six weeks already – hard to believe!   Most pups are spoken for at this time, but may have a few available depending on the situation.  I think all of these pups need homes that will make these pups part of their family and lead and active life style.

These pups come out of herding lines that are very athletic and used to working and also from schutzhund working lines – there is so much potential and these dogs can be what you make them!

The pup’s dam, Arla, is an active dog who is very biddable and obedient.  She loves to work and to please and is just a dream to work with when herding my sheep.  The sire of the litter, Hawk v. Eichenluft, is a Schutzhund dog that comes out of strong working lines.  The father has a very solid temperament and is very masculine looking – he is such a gentlemen and is very social too.  I think these two make a unique combination and it will be interesting to see how these pups develop!

That’s all for now!

They are already 5 weeks old! “D” Litter

Can’t believe how time is passing.  The pups are eating three meals a day of kibble, meat and goatsmilk and really chowing down, plus still getting some milk from mom.  They are full of playfulness and curiosity and boy are they exploring.  My poor gardens will never be the same.  I call them the “Destroyers”.  They are into everything!

They have even had a trip to the barn and were very curious playing in the hay.  Pictures to come soon with the barn experience.  Also individual shots of each pup later.

This female puppy is full of spunk and loves people.  She curles in your lap and has plenty of loving to go around.

This boy has been the biggest since he was born and still is.  He is very playful and very confident.  I think this dog is held more than he has a chance to walk since my son is always carrying him around like stuffed animal.  We are going to miss this boy when he goes to a new home.

Red Collar Female - Delta - They don't come any sweeter!

My son picked out Delta from birth and she is proving to be a super little gal.  She is so friendly and loves my son.  Her temperament is just wonderful.  She is a happy, playful pup that is sure of herself.

This female puppy is one of the fiesty ones in the litter and is just a ball of fire.  The kids started calling her “Spitfire”.  She is definitely a dog that is not afraid of anything and is into everything.  She is a blast to watch!

More tomorrow, as I’ll have individual pics of each pup!  They are getting so darn cute!  They are all just beautiful with personalities to match.  They love coming out in the evening when the weather is a bit cooler and now they are all over the yard venturing farther from the homestead!

LIttle Girl - first one with her ears up today!

This is the striped collar female.  Her ears have been tipping up a bit, but today the one was up for a while.  They just start looking like real GSD’s once those ears go up.

Female Pup with Flower Collar

This puppy is truly an affectionate, loving pup.  She is always quick to lick your face and follow you where ever you go.  She is just as sweet as sugar!  Has a lot of zip too.

Delta - Female Puppy

Delta is the puppy my son is planning on keeping.  She is just as solid as can be and loves everyone.  She has sweet puppy kisses for everyone.

Aiko is our male out of Hera X Diesel v. Schulmeister.  He is such a good boy and so good with the pups.  Although he is bit of a toy hog, he still shares with the pups.  When it comes to squeaky toys though, he thinks they are all for him!  He naturally watches after the pups if they wonder a bit too far.  Each day they are exploring farther and farther away from the house.

Hey what's going on under there?

These pups are eating three solid meals a day, plus nursing from their mother.  Seems like they are growing over night and changing so much.

These puppies have lots of toys to play with – like Christmas time in the summer.  But they do seem to love balls and tugs the most.

Arla finishes their food and they get a nice drink of milk afterwards.

Arla rarely lays down now to feed the pups.  They just run right up to her and start nursing now.  Since there are nine of them, wow, the fight for a nipple of their own is really something to watch.  It’s quite comical to watch.  Poor Arla can hardly stand sometimes but she is a good sport about it.

They are spending most of their day outside in the expen now and exploring the yard.  They love getting into my garden and hiding in the plants.  Next week I’ll take them for a trip up to the barn to see the sheep.  It will be exciting to see what their response will be.  Pups usually love playing in the hay and exploring the new sights and smells of the sheep.

“D” Litter – 4 Weeks Old Today

We’ll I can hardly believe how quickly these pups have grown.  They are eating and running around, and playing with toys.  They have even visited with a few of my sons’ friends.  What a great experience for them.

They are all kinda of taking on their own identity now.  I took some individual pics of each pup.  They each have their own little personality and spunk!

Demi- Female Puppy

Red Checker Collar - Female Puppy

This little pup is as cute as a button.  She is full of life.  She is very peppy and also ready to play.  She loves the toys in the expen.  I think she would be a super working dog or agility dog.  She has a nice compact build.

Dana - Female Puppy

Stripped Collar - Female Puppy

She is also a little feisty puppy who loves to play.  She is very friendly and is definitely one who is quick to the food bowl.  She is also a compact female that is full of energy.

Delta - Female Puppy

Delta - Female Puppy

Delta is the largest of the 4 female pups.  She is playful and seems to be very taken with my son Will.  She even comes when you call her.   She is a calm, confident female who holds her own.  I think she’ll make an excellent companion for my son.

Dascha - Female Puppy

Flower Collar - Female Puppy

This is another female who is active and loves to play with toys.  She is very sweet and comes right over to us for holding and petting.   We can always tell which pup she is by her light eyebrows.

Duke - Male Puppy

Blue Collar - Male Puppy

This male puppy is the biggest puppy since birth and is a love bug.  Even though he is big, he doesn’t really throw his weight around.  He just is sure of himself and loves to explore.  He also is the male who loves the cardboard box house.

Dante - Male Puppy

Blue Camo Collar - Male Puppy

The male puppy is kinda of a laid back puppy if one can imagine.  Loves to explore and play, but not a real trouble maker like some of his brothers.  He is very handsome and has a beautiful dark face.

Dakota - Male Puppy

Blue Dot Collar - Male Puppy

This male pup is the second largest male in the bunch.  When he was born he was a bit smaller than his litter mates, but boy has he caught up.  He is a lover boy!

Diesel - Male Puppy

Brown Dot Collar - Male Puppy

This fella is an active boy just full of himself.  Loves to carry his tug around and tries to play with Aiko, our older male dog.  He is alot of fun to watch.

Dolf - Male Puppy

Black Collar - Male Puppy

This male puppy is a real character – full of playfulness and loves everyone.  He walks around with his tail in the air like he is “The Man”.  Just full of personality!

That is all nine of the little fur balls at 4 weeks of age.  They are really starting to play with one another and have a good time wrestling with one another.
