If you can’t find a ball, a pumpkin will do!

Every year we get a load of pumpkins dropped off at our farm for our sheep once Halloween has passed. My dogs find this a great time of year to play outside with new toys that they can find outside. This year, pumpkins seem to be their object of interest. The pumpkins are fun to carry around and the dogs can eat them too. Since my dogs are on a raw diet and they get pumpkin in their food from time to time, they have found that these new toys are very appealing. Not only are they fun to carry around and play with, but they also provide a healthy snack.
Pumpkins are very versatile – you can carry them, eat them, and play with them.

I keep the large pumpkins for my sheep to eat as they love them too. This morning I found that my two big decorative pumpkins displayed at my front door are now missing. Apparently during the night hours when my dogs were outside, they found these large pumpkins a challenge to play with and break apart! I found the remains this mornings – so the sheep will get those! Not a thing wasted at the farm!
