Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Posted By on December 23, 2009

I thought this was just a beautiful picture of Aiko to share.  Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year filled with peace and joy, happiness, and good health for the coming year and many years to come!  Also hoping all those new “D” litter puppies much fun in the snow this Winter – I know Delta is really enjoying the white fluffy stuff.  She loves trying to find her gigle ball in the deep snow!

See our Christmas e-card!

Delta’s First Snow!

Posted By on December 20, 2009

After the snow falling most of the day yesterday and last night, we got about 8-10 inches.  We took the dogs out for a long walk this morning in the freshly fallen snow and it was just beautiful watching them running in the snow.  Here are a few photo’s to enjoy.  Delta enjoying her first real snow fall – she  loves it!

Delta is thrilled with this newly fallen fluffly stuff on the ground!  She has such a zest for life.  Last night we took her outside and she was trying to catch the snow flakes in the air by jumping in the air.  She is very entertaining to watch.  The rest of the dogs were out too having fun and getting some Winter exercise!  I have to admit, the snow is much better than the mud and rain we have had for the last several months.  My dogs look much cleaner than they have looked for a while; now I just have to dust the snow off of them when they come in instead of trying to towel the mud off!

Delta & Aiko

Delta and Aiko had a blast today playing in the snow.  Delta tried to laydown in the deep snow, but found it was a bit too deep to go all the way down.

Delta & Arla

Delta and Arla investigating the snow – Arla was searching the field for her gigle ball, but not much luck with 10 inches of snow fall.  After about 20 minutes though, Arla was succesful at finding her ball.  She has some nose – she will even put her face in the water of our pond to find her ball if it has sunk below the water’s surface.  She is some determined dog!

More later – I expect this snow will be with us for some time with the temperatures in the 20′s.  At least it looks like we will have a white Christmas this year!  Yeah!

Delta’s 1st Christmas – Let’s keep the tree up high!

Delta von der Kleinen Wiese

Delta von der Kleinen Wiese

Above is our little Delta.  Mud on her nose and all – ready to play ball.  She is nearly 6  months old now and she will be celebrating her first Christmas with us.  She is a bit of a terror around the house – constantly playing with toys, stealing things, and creating alot of her own fun around the house.  In preparation for Christmas, we thought it was best that we get a small tree this year and put it on a table so that Delta would not steal any of the Christmas balls or ornaments to play fetch with.  As you can see from the picture above, she has a gigle ball in her mouth.  Seems she always has something in her mouth.  She loves to play fetch just like her mother does.  She certainly is alot of fun and we know she is going to love playing in the snow this Winter season.

We got our tree this evening, as we are preparing for our first Winter storm of the Winter season!  We are expecting a snow storm with possible blizzard like conditions starting early this am.  Possibility of 8-16 inches which is alot for this part of PA.  So we got our tree before any weather delays and set it up.  I think it is puppy proof!  Luckily Delta has not decided to launch herself upon the table to check things out.  I have Aiko to protect the tree from her mischevious acts.

Above is our Aiko who has the job of watching over the tree!  So far he is doing a wonderful job.  He is such a good boy – I am sure he has hopes of Santa bringing him some nice pig ears, or cow hooves, marrow bones or maybe even a new squeaky gigle ball!  Oooooh, a GIGLE ball, with a squeaker that works – wouldn’t that be just the best!

Stayed tuned, tomorrow I am sure we’ll have pictures of all the doggies enjoying the snowstorm.

Congratulations to Diann & Chloe!
