“D” Litter – Diesel’s Agility – Tunnel Love!

Posted By on September 13, 2009

Dieseltun

Diesel is living in West Virginia on a farm with lots of different animals, but his best friend is a miniture poodle named Riot.  And truly they are a “Riot” together.  Evidently they both love agility and the tunnel seems to be one of Diesel’s favorite pieces of equipment.  This puppy was one of our first to go and  he has done quite a bit already for his age.  He started out swimming at a very young age – less than 8 weeks old.  Probably will be an olympic swimmer some day, ha, ha!

Little Meadow Sheep Farm wishes Diesel lots of luck with his agility career!

“D” Litter – Dakota von der Kleinen Wiese

Dakota von der Kleinen Wiese - 12 weeks old

Dakota von der Kleinen Wiese - 12 weeks old

Dakota is available, but for a special home only.  Dakota is a beautiful, substantial male pup with great bone.  His coat is slightly longer, more like a heavy stock coat and he moves beautifully - what I call balanced!

All pups have been placed now except for our Dakota, as I would like to see him in a home where he involved in some type of work or dog activity.  We call Dakota “Cid” as my kids named him at birth and the name just stuck.  If anyone is looking for a nice working dog that has lots of potential, please contact us.  Cid is a very solid pup, clear headed, calm and confident, but full of himself too.  He knows sitz, platz, come and even retrieves a ball some, all trained with food and positive praise.

Today I took Cid to the pet store and he checked everything out and then just laid down on the floor like he was the big “King” of the store for eveyone to just view.  He was soaking in all the attention.

Cid also got to go to the Scottish Irish Festival at Green Lane Park, PA.  I was amazed at how calm he was around all the people, music and he even got to see the bag pipes and drums playing up close, as we were on the bridge at the time they walked by us.  He just sat there and watched and watched.   The music and beating of the drums didn’t bother him a bit – he was just soaking in the scenery.  What a boy – he got lots of attention!

Cid is a wonderful dog to train as he is so eager to please and learn.  I have been working him on the scent pad to get a good tracking imprint on him and he loves the work.  He sees the flag at the scent pad and gets to work.  I had him do a puppy track at the park the other day and couldn’t believe how focused he was even with all the kids playing on the playground right next to his track.

This pup needs an active home where he will be worked in some type of dog activity.   His genetics are from all working lines and he has great attitude and spirit!

More on Cid’s tracking when I get some good pics. . . He is just a pleasure to take out!

Dascha von der Kleinen Wiese

We are pleased to announce that our little Dascha has gone to a wonderful home not far away from us where we can see her grow up and mature.  Dascha will live an active life in a home in beautiful Saucon Valley.  She will be attending obedience classes and helping out with a special needs young gentlemen.  I think she’ll be a great companion for him and a very dedicated and loving family companion.  We will miss you Dascha and we wish you the best of luck with your new family.  I am so excited because we will be socializing our puppy and will meet Dascha from time to time.  It’s really nice when you get to see your puppies grow up.

We still have two really nice pups left for good homes or working homes.  They will require an active home and these dogs definitely need mental stimulation as they are very intelligent and eager to learn.   Dana is a rock solid female who has stamina to keep up with the big dogs.  She is a very serious, focused dog and would be great in a working home or active family.  Dakota is a big boy – big bone to boot.  This boy is a delight, loves to work the scent pad, and do whatever you ask of him.  He has personality!

Dana is a rather muscular dog with a wider chest.  I think she is going to be one that will have endurance to work.  She is not a big female, but has some bone to her.  She loves children and other animals – needs a leader!

If interested in learning more about these pups, please e-mail us using the “CONTACT” on the side bar!  We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about our dogs.  These pups are from purely working lines – great work ethic, athletic, williness to please and confident!

“D” Litter – Demi goes to Halifax, NC

Demi von der Kleinen Wiese

Demi von der Kleinen Wiese

Today was a wonderful day, as one of our pups went to a lovely lady who lives in NC.  She owned a dog named Reba, who just happens to be Demi’s great grandmother, Reba v. Marinik, HGH.  The new owner just couldn’t pass up a Reba relative once she saw little Demi.   We wish her new owner lots of luck, as she will have her hands full with all Demi’s energy and enthusiasm.   We look forward to hearing about all the things she will be doing in the future.  She has plans to show her in obedience and agility and so we look forward to seeing her in action when she is older.  I am sure that little pup is going to have her paws in just about everything!
